What does custom mean?

It means intentional. Either you bring the clarity or we find it together.

If you know what you want:

Awesome. Easy. Bring me drawings, dimensions and references. Show me what you've got. The more the better. We can get right down to business.

If you only kinda know what you want:

Bring photo references. Again, lots of them. Photos of items that give you the feel you're looking for. We'll need to walk through the pieces function. What will it be used for on a day to day basis? What matters most to you? Appearance? Durability? Storage? That's the information that turns an idea into a successful build.

Please do understand that certain features such as kumiko, tambour, and other traditional techniques require a disproportionate amount of time compared to their size.

For example: in some cases, a single kumiko panel door can equal the labor of multiple full cabinet builds. This means these details are not add ons, but major components of the project scope, and sometimes THE major component. When appropriate, I’ll help evaluate whether these elements support the overall design or if simpler solutions better serve the piece.
